BORN IN WHARTON, TEXAS ON FEBRUARY 20, 1946. PARENTS WERE LEE AND ETHEL COSBY. LIVED IN EL CAMPO, TEXAS TILL 1958, WHEN WE MOVED TO ROCKPORT, TEXAS.
GRADUATED FROM ARANSAS COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL IN 1964 AND MARRIED IN 1966 AND FATHERED THREE DAUGHTERS, PATRICIA AND THE TWINS, MELISSA AND MICHELLE.
I OWNED A A PAINTING CONTRACTING BUSINESS UNTIL RETIREMENT IN 1994. I HAD TO RETIRE THEN BECAUSE OF HEALTH PROBLEMS.
AS A TEMPORARY SHUT IN, MY DAUGHTERS BOUGHT ME A SET OF WATERCOLORS. I PIDDLED WITH THEM, WATCHED BOB ROSSI ON TV, AND READ EVERYTHING ABOUT WATERCOLORS THAT I COULD FIND. MY DAUGHTERS TALKED ME INTO TRYING TO SELL SOME OF MY PAINTINGS AT THE ANNUAL FULTON OYSTERFEST. I SOLD 23 OF THE 25 PAINTINGS I EXHIBITED.
I JOINED THE ROCKPORT ART CENTER, ENTERED THE MERIT ARTIST'S SHOW, AND WAS CHOSEN WITH SEVEN OTHER ARTISTS TO EXHIBIT FOR THE 1996 MERIT SHOW.
I NOW HAVE POPO'S ART STUDIO AND GALLERY, WITH A CUSTOM FRAME SHOP, IN ROCKPORT, TEXAS.
