When I was 10 years old I asked Santa to give me a camera for Christmas. This was just the beginning. As a child I found myself taking photos of trees, mountains, people, and the sea. At 17 I bought my first SLR camera and discovered shutter speeds, focus and aperture, and dsicovered black and white photography. Although not terribly talented, with practice I got better and by the time I bought my first digitial camera (at age 30-ish) I was ready to photograph everything - strangers drinking coffee, macros of fungus, insects and plants, night photos of mist, the moon and sunsets. The ability to photoshop has further enhanced my abilities and my photos can now be turned into art. Having recently purchased my third digital camera, the sky's the limits. When I leave the house my camera comes with me. This way I can photograph anything candidly, quickly, and capture the things I love to look at, especially my family, the people I meet and landscapes that inspire me.
