PETER ANGELO SIMON is drawn to people in the midst of creative activities. His subjects have included the creation of New York's Big Apple Circus, theater artist Robert Wilson, painter George Deem, Bessie Schoenberg, the legendary teacher of dance composition, and Muhammad Ali. As Ali trained for his historic African fight Simon was struck by how he blended aspects which involved his body, his intellect and his spirit. His large scale photography-based artworks, "Beyond Gravity" explore the relationship between photograph and painting. His color work from South India was recently exhibited in New York. Personal vision is the theme of Simon's teaching in one-on-one sessions and Photography Workshops.
