The second in the 'Humanity in the Landscape' series, this book is an exuberant look at the range of activities, emotions and occupations that define the human experience across the globe. With echoes of Sebastio Selgado and Henri Cartier-Bresson, Kyazze's work spans gold mining in Congo, refugee camps in Liberia, and bungee jumping in the United Kingdom, amongst many other remarkable photographs.

Amelia B. Kyazze
Abkyazze3 London, UK

Amelia B. Kyazze has been a photographer, writer and humanitarian worker since 1996.

Living as an anthropology student in Nepal during a turbulent political period, she was fascinated by both the stunning landscapes and the chaotic political upheaval, often expressed in graffiti. She lived with students throughout the protests, documenting their views through personal interviews and portraits, while travelling to different parts of the country. These interviews and experiences became the basis of the Humanity in the Landscape theme, which soon became a frame for nearly all of her work.

Ms. Kyazze has exhibited in London, Oxford and New York, including, amongst others, participation in the Royal Photographic Society's International Print Competition. In addition to photography, she has published numerous papers and articles for organizations such as Oxfam and Save the Children.

Ms. Kyazze lives in London with her husband and two young children.
