Namibia, located in southern-west Africa, is one of the least densely populated countries in the world and is consumed by sand and desert. Although people are scarce, this sub
Saharan region is rich with wildlife, vast planes, mountains, diamond rich coasts and home to the world’s largest sand dunes.

Through my experience in this unique environment, I’ve learned to call a peculiar and challenging place home and form a bond with the strangers I gathered with in this place for a common cause and passion, to help preserve one of the world’s only population of desert adapted elephants.

With the desire for personal experience, connection and adventure, each individual in my closely bonded group who has traveled from different areas of the world is changed by the untamed region of Namibia called Damaraland.

I am drawn to the subjects of personal experiences and the intimate relationships I have formed with both my human bonds
and the natural world. With both of these attributes, I often aim to emphasis the relationship of the two entities, and the circumstances
of their coexistence.Whether being things that I feel connected or disconnected to, or those that I feel the need to investigate,
the ideas of remembrance, nostalgia and emotional ambiguity are key elements in the culture of my images.
