The Chorus visited Havana and Matanzas. We were 200+ strong and had the fortunate experience of performing with and seeing performances by the Coro Nacional de Cuba and the Orquestra Solistas de La Habana.
One of my lifelong dreams was to visit and photograph Cuba before the end of the US embargo. I wanted to see a country that was minimally influenced by the modern American culture. A country that had been virtually stuck in time since the 1950s. Thanks to my father inviting me to come along with him, that dream came true.
The best part of the trip for me was being able to share it with him. Merry Christmas, Dad!

I developed an interest in photography at a young age. Starting on a plastic camera with a cube flash, I upgraded to the classic Kodak Disc and finally inherited my mother's lovely old Minolta SLR workhorse. After college, I attended the Maine Film & Photographic Workshops. In 1996, I moved to New York City. As a freelance photographer in NYC, my clients included Halston, Bear USA and Weatherproof. In partnership with Joseph Cartright, I tested some of the first professional DSLRs and medium format digital backs. Moving to Minneapolis reignited my love of photography. Whether working on corporate headshots, fashion, still lifes or portraits, I bring creativity and passion to every project. My clients enjoy a memorable experience on the day, as well as a beautiful and professional end product.
