i was diagnosed with lymphoma in july 2012. the cancerfunnies book was suggested by my daughter, who came over one day while i was in the throes of chemotherapy withdrawal, and said "why don't you make a comic book out of it?"
the result was a series of drawings which expressed how the process of chemo-drug withdrawal feels. i'm sure all cancer patients can relate, and those who have cancer patients among their friends or family will want to understand.
sometimes chemo works, sometimes not. i believe i'm one of the lucky ones (if not, look for the sequel, "kiss me, i'm radioactive"). thanks to all my helpers, whether professional medics or simply friends and lovers. this one's for you.
