INTRODUCTION
All photographs in this book are from a larger body of work created in the fall, winter, and summer of 2011. It was my intention to document the Rattlesnake Valley where I have resided since 1999 and which has become a bottomless source of my creative inspiration. Sometimes, while driving home from town, I catch myself forgetting where I live and what is in front of me. It is my honest wish that, while looking at the photos collected in this book, people who live here, or people who happen to visit this part of Montana, don’t take for granted the exceptional beauty that surrounds them at all times.
