Every picture can tell a story – often more than one. While searching the foothills of Tuscany for new motifs I spotted these old-style chairs in a barbers’ shop at Suvereto, but before I could ask permission to photograph them, he closed for lunch – or so I thought. But, with the camera lens held against the not quite clean window, I managed to get this classic interior. Returning 2 days later to give him a print I found the place completely empty. He had moved to new premises a few streets away.
This is a dual language (English-German) book for lovers of classic fine art black & white photography. It showcases interiors of many kinds: bars, cafes, hotels, railroad depots, cathedrals - even caverns. All are depicted with loving care and with great attention to detail and graphic style.
