Everybody eats. And most of the time, we eat in places specifically constructed for the purpose of eating.
Often, we don't take the time to look around at these places when we're in them; we're busy with the important business of eating.
I was intrigued by the diverse nature of public eating places and that the way they were composed said volumes about the kind of eating which was expected to take place there: eating inside or eating outside, eating food that's fancy or food that's plain, having a meal or having dessert, eating quickly or eating leisurely, eating together with friends, with strangers, or eating alone.
