'Story of my life' through postcards.
I bought my first SLR camera in the 1980s, and turned instinctively to street photography. I also took numerous photos of riverside sludge! I had no formal training in photography but learned how to use a darkroom through joining a community arts group in Medway.
I now live in Norfolk, where there is a surfeit of landscape. I prefer to focus on the forgotten and overlooked, those footpaths and byways that are not part of the so-called 'areas of outstanding beauty', though I'm drawn to some of the fantastic gardens in the area.
I'm currently working towards a portfolio of still life, thus finding a purpose for all those hoards of shells, stones, glass bottles, and childhood ephemera.
