For one hundred continuous days in 2010 Peter Marley made portraits in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Whether the daily photographic subject was a familiar or not, it was paramount to the project that they consented to being photographed and were aware that it was to be part of a larger photographic series. 100Portraits in 100Days functions as much as a time capsule for Belfast in 2010 as it does as a personal exercise in photographic discipline. This catalogue of contemporary documentary portraiture offers a fragmented insight into the fleeting fashions and styles of a modern city; showcasing how individuals use clothes, props, make-up and hair to define their identity.
