A collection of photographs by Jane Lewis, who is better known as a painter and printmaker. Taken during a two week stay in Bologna in 2009, they are a subjective sample of the rich artistic heritage of the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. The images range from the beautiful to the surreal and sinister.
The contents of this book are “snapshots taken to remember in better detail the truly remarkable”.
Four places are featured - MODENA with its fantastic fairytale cathedral; RAVENNA famous for its early Byzantine art; the Romanesque carvings of FERRARA; and the elegant city of BOLOGNA with its amazing University Museum of anatomical waxworks.
