Acerca del creador
David Arthur-Simons (1956 - ) is a nationality non-identified painter who has lived in New York since 1995. He is known for his large scale serial paintings that take years to complete and consist of many inter-connected panels, a style of working he self-initiated in high school. His paintings have an affinity with Surrealism in that he does not generally refer to the "real" world in real terms while borrowing elements from it. Instead of simply replicating the real world he invents his own worlds which are not fantasy worlds but rather re-contextualizations and re-attributionalizations of known dynamic, psychological and spiritual elements of the real world that focus on the realms of "no-mind" beyond spoken words, belief systems and rational understanding.
