Acerca del libro
If you travel on a bus along the Colne Valley into Huddersfield after a gap of a few weeks, you can’t help noticing changes. The Titanic-like shape of the new Huddersfield College has grown closer to the sky. The car-wash has a new sign. Neat rows of an allotment have appeared where there was tussocky grass.
Loca allows people to play with change, to imagine many possibilities; individuals and groups become active ‘changers’ so that buildings, signs and vegetables don’t just seem to spring up overnight. People become an integral part of the designing, fixing, making and growing. What happens through this process is that they turn attention on themselves in a new way, achieving clear self-knowledge and an energising awareness of their creative possibilities, enabling them to see with compassion and to change the world.
