Everyone has a book in them, or so I was told by a very gentle and wonderful old lady in Co Mayo, Eire. This was perhaps not the book I thought was in me, but this is the one that came out.

Ray is my daughter's companion, he has been through a few of life's adventures with her while at university. He is not big but has a massive personality. When he is in the room, it is hard to ignore him. When he wants attention, it is given. He is Ray, he is part of the family and now he has his own book, what more could a bear want.

The Most Unremarkable Adventures of Ray came about while I was looking after Ray, the reasons for him being with me unfold in the story.
