'id & i, AUTOMATiSM', + - 0 = X architecture sketchbook investigating the possibilities of architectural form, space & time using a technique called ‘Automatism’. This method allows an innate artistic expression to emerge effortlessly through self immersion & a conscious decision not to control the drawing. A sense of detachment in realising subconscious images is brought to the surface without censorship or attempts of formal exposition, allowing you to be the observer & not the controller. Influenced by the early cubists painters, while finding inspiration in nature. This architecture sketchbook was created in 2010-2012 following an economic recession in Ireland.
