Acerca del libro
In 2010, I visited Lisbon for 3 days in December, mainly to explore the city by foot with my camera (and my iPhone) The result is in this book. The main chapters are a stroll along the tram lines, an evening exploration of the Bairro Alto, and a visit late in the day to the Belém Berardo Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art followed by a night walk along the coast past the Belém Tower. And on the last (foggy) day I discovered the eerie ‘Cemitério dos Prazeres’- a formerly grand cemetery fonded in 1833 when the city was hit by an outbreak of cholera. It’s name, ‘Cimetery of Pleasures’ is not rooted in unvoluntary humor but comes from the nearby neighborhhod of the same name.
