Belongings is a book about objects that cannot be replaced. Some of the things we own can be thrown away and replaced. But there are a few special items that each person saves as invaluable objects. Nearly every object we own has a story; giving reason to the object. These important items serve as a reminder of memories. We interact with objects, animating them and giving them significance. Perhaps too often we seek significance through/from our objects. Belongings begins to investigate the question, “Why do I care about this object?”
