A Burning Opera: How to Survive the Apocalypse premiered at the Teatro Zinzani's old spiegeltent on the San Francisco Bay in the fall of 2009. Thanks especially to Dana Harrison, Erik Davis, and Patricia Miller for bringing me aboard to make photographs during last rehearsals and first performances. This book presents a series of character portraits with select glimpses of the opera in this outlandish tent.
The show's playbill was written and compiled by Erik Davis.

This book is dedicated to my friends in the show, especially Erik Davis, collaborator from The Visionary State: A Journey through California's Spiritual Landscape, and DAS/OWL, otherwise known as Deborah Sciales and Oliver Lowe, trusty partners on high adventures hither and yon.
