Ergoterapia is the result of a two-week sojourn in a Lisbon psychiatric hospital when I had to spend my days in the art space installing an exhibition of my work and other artists, as part of a group show I was curating there. I crossed the parks everyday, meeting hospital residents, therapists, gardeners and visitors. I also researched the library and the museum, and engaged in conversations with the archivists and chief gardeners. From these encounters and dialogues developed an elliptical narrative about the historical development and contemporary forms of occupational and creative therapies in the hospital.

My recent publication projects have been exhibited at the P74 gallery in Ljubljana [Split-index: a time/space dislocation and Split-screen: a time/space dislocation), Sput-&-nik gallery, Porto (classop: papéis varios/varied papers) and Museu da Cidade, Lisboa (jornal fingido/ fake newspaper).
I teach courses on art and media theory, artists publications, self-publishing and the impact of technology in photographic publishing practices.
I also run the weblog for the photobook module I teach at the London South Bank University, part of the Digital Photography Programme.
