“Over the Christmas break in 2010 I travelled to Africa and as part of my journey I spent some time photographing in an orphanage called the Watoto Wema Centre in Kenya, where I had a chance to live with the children and photograph some unforgettable and heartwarming moments.
Once back in Sydney I realized I had many images of these wonderful children and their home and carers and I decided I wanted to find a material way to help them.
I realised by making them a website using my photographs and including a way for people to donate directly to them I could make a difference. And by selling my images as prints and in book form and donating a percentage of the profits I could make an even bigger difference.
My actual project involves travelling around the globe, helping in the best way I can, through photography, both kids and the groups and associations that are involved in helping them.
