Acerca del libro
2O11 saw the annual Probert Challenge leave the British Isles to embark on a journey through cycling’s ancient heartlands. We were to fly out to Milan where we would attempt to pedal ourselves all the way back home to race H.Q in Hamble, Southampton.
The barrier of the Alps represented the major challenge of the trip, so we enlisted the help of two grizzled veterans of Alpine cycling; (well that’s what they told us) Marco and Ciro, who would accompany us for the first week as we looked to take on and conquer the mountains.
Our trek would dip into Switzerland then continue up through France until we hit the coast. If all went to plan we would hit British soil again at the end of July after 3 countries, over a thousand miles in our legs and timeless memories to treasure in our minds.
