Spanish Emigration and the Economic Crisis Change of Paradigm?
de Simon Vine
Acerca del libro
During the last year, I carried out research for a degree course, to discover if the current economic crisis is affecting the frequency of Spanish emigration. As part of my dissertation I decided to document the research process though photography and this book is the result.
Spain like the rest of the western world has suffered and continues to suffer the effects of the economic crisis that has devastated its economy and has resulted in a very high unemployment rate.
The consequences of the recession have impacted on many families throughout Spain, with many believing the politicians have failed in the management of the economy and in the control the banks, who they mostly blame for the current situation. This discontentment has become evident with the strikes and demonstrations throughout Spain.
In spite of the economic crisis, daily life continues in Spain and part of the book is dedicated to this aspect.
