Acerca del libro
Sixteen intrepid adventurers were thrown together in the Namib Desert with the aim of raising vital funds for the children of Namibia, physically and mentally challenging themselves and discovering a new part of the world.
The trek took us through the stunning landscape of the Namib Desert in southern Africa, the oldest desert in the world.
We climbed over some of the world’s highest sand dunes and into the heart of the desert itself. Each day brought new experiences climbing up mountains with views across the savannah and trekking through the ‘crocodile’.
We were lucky to see lots of wildlife including snakes, scorpions, zebras, giraffes, oryx springbok and ostrich.
Each evening we were welcomed to our camps and watched the sun set across the mountains leaving a starlit sky to gaze up at around the campfire.
This book documents an adventure that has left us all with memories that will last a lifetime and a legacy of support for the children of Namibia.
