go to: http://www.ianallenphoto.com/tcj.html to view all of the images from this book, the book is expensive but I am marking it up only $20 dollars over the blurb price.
In the summer of 2007 I traveled to the Tibetan Autonomous Region(T.A.R.) to photograph a remote valley in it’s northeast, where a small internationally funded clinic operates and serves inhabitants within a twenty-five mile radius of it’s open gate. I reached this clinic, in the Surmang valley, via Tokyo, Shanghai, Beijing, and Xining. I had hoped that travelling to—and photographing these cities would offer a unique and balanced perspective on our destination. The results were beyond my expectations.
