Art has always represented a sense of freedom because it allows me to express myself in ways that I would not feel comfortable with in my everyday life. It provides a connection with the people I photograph, many of which I most likely would have not ever been acquainted had it not been for my camera, and through that experience, friendships were born. It provides a comfort zone for me to tell stories or explore emotions with the words I write, and to say things that I may not have been able to verbalize. It is a medium through which I can get people to look, to listen, to feel and to think.
The images and words contained in this book represent twenty five years of my evolution as an artist.
