'The Oxy Generation' is a documentary photography book that takes an in depth look at the OxyContin epidemic in my town of Tacoma, Washington. The several chapters of text explore the local issues with opioids, national problems, opioid pharmacology, political influences, the history of opioids, addicts’ stories, and the future outlook of opioid pain medications in the United States. The book includes over fifty photographs, an in depth introduction, a list of slang and medical terms for opioids, and four chapters of text.
The 'Oxy Generation' is meant to be accompanied by 'The Oxy Trap', a full length documentary film, which is avaliable @ https://vimeo.com/26897415
