de Robert A. Parker
Acerca del libro
Here are the author's photographic impressions of Europe, made during visits over a number of years. These visits were to Ireland, England, Scotland, Norway, Copenhagen, Paris, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, and Greece. In 240 pages, he captures images that portray the essence of each location, and supplements this with occasional entries from his travel journal. The beauty of Europe here lies primarily in the man-made art and architecture of its cities, but there is also beauty in its mountains and fjords.
The photographs range from broad panoramas to narrow close-ups that reveal a pattern or an abstract image. Natural lighting also helps to bring out richer colors, shadows, and texture.
The excerpts from the author's travel journals add texture, commentary, and a personal touch to his visual interpretation.
