Acerca del libro
A collection of photographs documenting the response to a series of "presents" from the cat Wolfie to its owner. Tamany Baker finds ritualistic ways to deal with her shock towards Wolfie's unsavoury habits and at the same time creates beautiful tableaux reminiscent of Victorian memento mori. The images in the book take you on a journey from the highly ornate and formal decoration of the dead animals through more immediate responses to the carnage in and around the domestic environment, ending with the very first image taken in the series. In making these photographs, Tamany reflected upon the wild instincts within her cat and realised that humans may not be so different underneath. A quote by Henry David Thoreau at the end of the book aptly describes this.
