Acerca del libro
This book invites the reader to explore the inner workings and imagination of the artist and photographer, Aaron Hawks. It showcases a world that challenges perceived reality through its narrative visuals of physical chaos, emotional deconstruction, and a sense of erotic excitement. More than just static imagery,it explores a world similar to that of motion picture,as each visual conveys a story of endless possibility, one with no beginning nor end, thus allowing the reader to examine individual interpretation of motive and consequence.
The entire scenario is created personally by Aaron Hawks inside his studio, the walls, and rust, peeling wallpaper, the holes in the floor, every single detail manufactured and perfectly placed by the artist himself and thus a collaborative culmination resulting in a truly unique sculpture, creating a story which leads one to question the interpretation of "what is real?" And thus follows: what, where and how? The viewer is able to form an intimate experience with a single image as the story continues through there imagination, evoking questions about their personal reactions to the sculptures. This book is about documenting an emotion in a non-traditional sense; its use of familiar architectural elements creates a sense of reminiscence and recognition that allows further investigation of the subconscious.
