In June 2010 I discovered an iPhone app called Hipstamatic. Pleased with the old school analogue feel of the resulting images my initial snapshots were the beginnings of what was to become a long term project. Fortunate enough to take the scenic route to work I began to document the daily commute. My appreciation of the local landscape grew and I would often find myself venturing deeper into the countryside armed with a few provisions and my trusty iPhone.

'Passing by' is the culmination of over a year's worth of photos selected from thousands of iPhone shots taken in and around Woolley Edge, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England.
