Acerca del libro
I put this book together to sell at the Historic North Pacific Cannery, located near Port Edward on the Northwest coast of Canada.
The Cannery is a great place to visit for a look at this boom and bust industry.
Living on the coast for some years now, I've collected a lot of images of boats and the fishing industry. There's something very compelling for me, visually.
The sea takes its toll before long, and every scrap of machine, dock, and vessel is marked with stories.
I'm currently working on a larger, more elaborate book on the same theme.
Thanks for visiting.

I shoot both digital and film, including medium format film. I have a soft spot for the magic of film. I like all kinds of photography, but I am particularly drawn to photographing places that evoke a strong sense of identity and character, or sites that otherwise suggest stories or evidence of human use and history. I am curious about the relationship between humans and nature, and all the fascinating stories that mediate that relationship.
