Acerca del libro
The story is told from the viewpoint of the Narrator. The gender of the Narrator is unclear in the story. Some critics suggest that the Narrator is a woman. They go even so far as suggesting that she may have been raped-which could be a possible motive for her to kill the Old Man. These thoughts were in the back of my mind as I took these photos which I used to create the poster for my dance concert...
What does it take to produce a captivating photo for your poster of your World Premiere of your new Poe Ballet?
120 photos, that's what! I took 120 different shots to find "The One" that would be on the poster for this ballet. In this book, you can see the "Number 1" photo that made the poster, some "Runner-up) photos and even a hilarious "Blooper" photo! (Also included are 4 photos showing me standing joyously next to the finished poster hanging in various places around the BCA during my performance week.)
I performed the role of the Narrator (at the prestigious Boston Center for the Arts, or BCA), and my choreography/concept was described as "sheer genius", "phenomenal","mind-boggling","totally believable" and "gave goosebumps"! My own dancing was described as "captivating and powerful" with "strong acting".
