Being a born-and-bred Venetian and trying to describe this city without falling into cliché is not an easy task. Everywhere you look, Venice is there.
Still, the Venice that intimately belongs to me is there as well, right before everyone’s eyes.
This small book will attempt to show that other Venice, through one of its basic elements: water. Through the people that tread on it. Through its silences and, why not, through my dreams.
