This book is the result of photographing the winter celebration of Carnival in Venice for three years. I included many new images from Carnival 2010 that I haven't previously published, plus favorites and some new pictures from Carnival 2008 and 2009. My goal is to share the grandeur and majesty of Venetian Carnival with readers, and hopefully, inspire them to visit Venice and experience Carnevale di Venezia first hand.

Some very nice images here. I first became interested in Carnevale after visiting Venice and seeing the masks in the shop windows there. I enjoyed photographing the empty masks wherever the vendors would let me so much that I finally decided to go and see the festival for myself in 2010. Theoretically I should have been to my fourth one in February but alas schedule conflicts prevented me from going in 2011 and 2013.

Thank you codyrachel for your kind comments. As you can tell, the masks of Carnival are one of my favorite subjects. Do you have a web site. I would love to see some of your masks.
