It was 6 degree weather one January day in 2011, but there was a chore out on the patio that needed attention, and as it was no more than 6 feet from the door I bravely stepped outside, but was hit by such ice-cold air that I darted back in and postponed the chore till Spring.
But that moment made me ponder how people kept/keep from freezing when they have no choice and simply must go outside.
