Acerca del libro
In late March 2011 we completed our second ‘Arctic Enduro’ - a truly beautiful life-affirming leap into Europe’s largest wilderness.
12 intrepid characters travelled to the frozen far north of Norway 400 kilometres above the Arctic Circle to participate in this extreme endeavour, an endurance challenge involving dog sleds and snowmobiles. Amongst our number was a steel magnate, a coffee planter, an executive chef, a Grandmother, two consultant physicians a used car salesman, a property developer and a computer whiz kid.
We all witnessed the awesome spectacle of the Northern Lights, illegally entered Russia (although Laura insisted she had a valid visa) and spent time with the Sami people learning a little about their traditional way of life. Some mad men amongst us even partook of the Arctic plunge.
It was an absolute pleasure to have been involved along with my dear friend Per Simble in the setting up of this fantastic adventure.
This book of truly beautiful photographs wonderfully documents our experiences in one of the remotest areas of our planet.
