It was to be a long fight. Swords slashed and clashed. Fireballs leaped about like an energetic child on his birthday when he had just opened his best present yet. Giant dragon jaws could be seen going for the dragon they were attached to in all the confusion. All that could be seen were flashes of red, yellowy-orange, white and the grey of steel.
Midget is not a warrior. Midget is a short boy from an urban area near the Great Forest on the island known as Grim. Midget was not meant to be a warrior. His parents are dead, and his uncle is a landlord. But he must become a warrior, or the fate of the world is at stake. Midget has his life turned up-side down as he battles strange creatures like the monstrous Ug Troll in a battle that will decide the fate of the world. Midget is forced into fighting the armies of the underworld in a last-ditch effort to save the earth.
But will Midget survive this tale, or will he be washed away by the events that are to unfold.

I have wanted to be an author for many years. At a young age I enjoyed writing tales of heroes. I specilise in Epic Fantasy Quests (A story where the main character goes on a quest in another world). At the age of Eight I started on what was to become A Tale of Grim. I built the characters up as I went along. Midget was the name that fitted the character: a short boy who is full of energy. Often timid. Mac, EThea, Carl and the others where random names that just came to mind on the spur of the moment. It took me two years to finish A Tale of Grim, finishing it at the age of Ten. I would set the book as good for the age-range I was when I wrote it, 8 to 10. I am now aged 12. I hope you enjoy A Tale of Grim, and enjoy further books I will publish.
