Sister, Brother and Pete
A Bunkbed Adventure
de H.K. Schwartz & Twinz
Acerca del libro
The adventure begins after stories have been read and lights have been turned off for this sister and brother. The siblings and their dog are called to save a prince who has been kidnapped by a dragon in a magical, far-away land. The three heroes work together to save the good prince, all the while displaying teamwork, courage, perserverence and some very nice manners to boot. This rhyming story was written and illustrated with classic stories like "Horton Hears a Who" and "Madeline" in mind.
For preschoolers and beginning readers, this is a read-to-me book with an eye toward building vocabulary and the goal of making the transition into early reading fun and easy. Children who are reading at a 2nd grade level will be able to read the story independently, while stretching their vocabulary skills in a fun, engaging way.

I am an Orton-Gillingham reading instructor (for children and adults with dyslexia), a home schooling mom, and graphic artist. Corinne and Larissa (Twinz) are my adult (twin) daughters, who inspired the bunk-bed adventure stories with their late-night giggling sessions that went on long after bedtime stories had been read and lights had been turned out. They are also the artists who helped bring the characters I pictured in my mind to life on the pages of our little book. I am married to the most wonderful husband in Wisconsin (sorry, ladies - he's all mine :o) and we have two more wonderful children who are not quite grown yet - Austin and Jesse. We also share our home with an almost always wonderful dog, Oliver.
