Bill Keane was born in Caracas, Venezuela and grew up mostly in New Jersey. He holds a BA in Communications and an M/Div. (cum laude). After beginning a career in radio broadcasting, Bill was ordained an American Baptist minister in 1983. He started ministry, working for 5 years in the Uniting Church in Australia (Congregational, Methodist, Presbyterian). He has served in Connecticut since 1988 and during that time he has made two appearances on the ABC network televised "LIVE with Regis and Kathie Lee." In addition, he has written and voiced more than 40 public service and religious based radio commercials. From October 2001 through April 2002 Bill was an on-site chaplain at Ground Zero, NYC, and in September 2005, Bill was a chaplain working in New Orleans with the US Dept. of HHS, recovering those who perished in Katrina. Bill's images have been published in Australian Camera Craft, receiving numerous awards, and his OpEd thoughts have appeared in TIME, and NEWSWEEK.
