Sullivan's photo book, "An American Rodeo" was published through Blurb on June 13, 2011. Sullivan has been involved in both photo journalism and personal projects for over twenty years. She is attracted to projects about other people who are in the process of testing themselves, in overcoming or proving themselves. She has exhibited in group and solo shows and installations in New York City. Her work has appeared in New York Magazine, Timeout NY, PAPER Magazine and other publications and books. Her photography has appeared on HBO for the series, "Bored to Death." "The Party Dress Book," by Mary Adams, containing her work, came out in November in 2010.
In her upcoming photo book, "The Mom Project," she examines her relationship with her extremely independent, 88-year-old mother.
