In February 2008 Simon and Russell Lister rode 3000 kilometers around the state of Rajasthan India on Royal Einfield motorcycles.
The journey took them over mountains, across deserts, visiting palaces, forts and temples riding through cities, towns and villages.
Along the way they visited a camel fair with 60,000 camel and cattle, that were traded by the locals of the region. They also visited a 900 year old fort with walls that stretched over 39 kilometers with a width of 6 meters, big enough to allow horses and carriages to ride across them. Also temples that were built over 2000 years ago and palaces that housed kings and rulers of the Mogul era.
From this region the culture is very colorful, with rich bright turbans, saris and scarfs, smells of spices and incense, and the sounds of camels, traffic and a billion voices.
Also included with Rajasthan is the region of Ladakh a journey through Indias Himalayas in July 2009. A three week ride again on Royal Enfield motorcycles over the highest roads in the World, capturing the life of the local people from this region.
Just added are new photos of Mumbai and Morocco, Simons trip in 2010 and South Africa 2011
An explosion of all the senses
These are just some of the images captured during these journeys

Dear Simon,
I have seen many travelbooks on Blurb but this one belongs to the most stunning and beautiful ones. I dare to see that you are a master in making portraits and that is not an overdone statement.
It looks to me that you are also very good in making contact with the people. It is clear that it are not just snapshots but that the people are trusting you. Specially the eyes of many portraits are so touching.
Anyway it is clear that I admire your work very, very much while actually
I am really critical on photography. After writing this comment I will visit
your website and I am sure I will enjoy there a lot more. Your work is far beyond the average. With high regards., Jules van Oerle
