Acerca del libro
A native Californian, Joe Voorhees received his art training at The Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. Joe was known for his rural scenes and intimate close-ups.
Joe frequently wandered the back roads of the country exploring old farms and ranches, digging through cellars and haylofts seeking creative inspiration. He painted in the tradition of realism and his technique was drybrush watercolor. This demanding, often unforgiving, medium requires the gradual build up of color and texture. He captured the mystery of light.
Joe's paintings have hung in numerous national and internatonal juried shows and have been purchased by both private and corporate collections.
Learn more about Joe's technique and discover his gorgeous paintings in this book. He passed away on June 17, 2010. This book has been created in his memory, edited by his son Vince and wife Irma.
