In these archives I documented the accumulation and weathering of objects, words, and lives. Mystery found in the small pencil marks, forgotten notes and misplaced belongings. I investigated the quiet corners and darkened basements. I imagined the people who always seek out the same chair, and found beauty in the anonymous marks they left behind.

Corey became interested in photography during high school, thanks to a great instructor, Mr. Z. In college he earned a B.S. in Forest Biology and worked for the U.S. Forest Service in Colorado and Alaska. Throughout the field season Corey would document his travels, work, and friends. After college Corey continued working for the U.S. Forest Service as a wildland firefighter on the Pike Hotshots, spending winter off-seasons in Utah and the French Alps. In Jackson, Wyoming, Corey began to market his photographs within the outdoor industry. After four years photographing adventure sports, Corey returned home to New England and completed his M.F.A. in Fine Art photography. He currently lives in central VT with his dog Jake and works throughout New England. Corey photographs environmental portraits, architecture, food and travel for nationally distributed magazines and commercial clients.
