Acerca del libro
On 22 June 2009 Eastman Kodak Company announced that it would retire Kodachrome Colour Film, concluding its 74-year run as a photographic icon.
To mark the end of Kodachrome 64 photographer Phil Coomes set out to publish a-photo-a-day to Flickr, the photographic sharing website, for 64 weeks.
The final set of 448 photographs can all be found within this volume.
Profits from this book will be donated to the BBC's Children In Need appeal.
Phil Coomes has worked in the photographic arena for many years, as both a photographer and picture editor, primarily at the BBC where he currently works on the News website. He obtained a BA(Hons) in photography from the University of Westminster where he studied under Andy Golding, Tom Ang and Gus Wylie, the latter of whom instilled in him his love of the colour photographic document and street photography. For many years he has been interested in the historical importance and development of Leica cameras and is currently Editor of the UK Leica Society's Magazine.
