POEMS FROM A PLACE IN MY HEART is a collection of poems and thoughts chosen from my writings of years prior to 1998. Many of these writings first became popular as greeting cards but are no longer available as such. Featured on each greeting card was a small ink sketch in context with the poem. Those ink sketchings are included within this book along with the poems with which they were first published.

Publishing these writings along with a few sketches and drawings from my journals is my way of sharing what I think about my environment and about those whom I care for. Elizabeth, my love, has been the inspiration for most of my work. Until she came into my life there was just a sad and lonely boy inhabiting my leather moccosins and torn jeans. Nearly at the same time of our meeting, I became interested in spiritual things and began a journey with the Master Of The Universe. I found it difficult to put my experience into verbal expression, hense the journals.
