I love taking pictures of people on my travels, especially in areas that receive few tourists. Faces of my Travels is a selection of my favourite portraits from my adventures in Iran, India and Nepal.
Iranians were so incredibly welcoming to me, and I found their hospitality unrivalled by anywhere else I have been. I received consistent yet curious support for my solo backpacking trip in an 'axis of evil' land, and it felt one of my safest destinations.
My months of trips spanning five years throughout India have shown me a country of extremes, of rich and poor, war and peace, and light and dark. My photos from beautiful Ladakh and tourist-free Kashmir are some of my favourites.
Nepal has a special place in my heart because of the time I spent in a remote village during the Hindu festival of Dashain, where I was the first non-Nepali to visit. Staying in a village which was two hours walk to the nearest 'road', with no electricity, and one water pipe between everyone, is definitely a highlight of my travels.
