At the end of 2009 it became clear that I had to go South Africa to speak at a convention. We used this 'chance of a lifetime' to explore the country, God's own country that He took such a long time to create.
This book shows our impressions and focuses on wildlife particularly.
In my working life I work with pixels, lots of them. And in my hobby, photography, things are quite the same. In my travel photography I try to reflect the impressions I have. So post-processing is being used, but only to a limited extent. In photography I am autodidactic. My camera bag contains a Canon 7D and a Canon 6D SLR + several lenses. The most important of those being a Canon EF/L f/4 24-105 mm zoom, EF/L f/2.8 16-35 mm and a Canon EF/L f4-5.6 100-400 mm. Apart from photography I like (classical) music a lot and therefore like to go to concerts. Oh yeah, I should not forget ;-): I'm a happily married man for over 30 years with Trix and together we have 3 (meanwhile adult) children.
