It's part of human nature to dismiss objects and landscapes that are close at hand, but for some photographers the Indiana landscape holds a special fascination, even those who lust for more dramatic landscapes.
In this volume, Jerry McCoy captures the spirit of this often overlooked part of the country and presents this work as a photographic tribute to a graceful landscape. The work concentrates on the northern part of the state and features his newest images.
To accompany his expressive images of light and shadow, captions reinforce the viewer’s appreciation of God’s creation.

Jerry McCoy was born in Wolf Lake, Indiana. From an early career in home-building, he operated a country inn for nine years. Except for 15 years in estate management and website design in Williamsburg, Virginia, he has lived most of his life in northern Indiana. During the past several years he has expanded his design business to include fine art photography, operating as Jerry McCoy Photography.
“The wide variety of experiences I've had—joys and sorrows, love of nature, traveling abroad—all of these inform the work I do today as a photographer,” says Jerry. “It’s not all about photographing exotic locations but searching for exotic images of native subjects.”
Jerry is currently exhibiting at Canal Street Gallery in Winona Lake, Indiana. He has also published three photo essay books, Indiana, Sweden and Kauai, all of which are available at Canal Street Gallery in Winona Lake, IN.
